Surgery Options

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) involves the removal of the clear lens of your eye, replacing it with an intraocular lens implant (IOL) in order to restore vision and reduce the need for glasses and/or contact lenses.

For patients having cataract surgery, upgraded lens options are also available which can potentially result in the same glasses independence as it does For RLE patients.

Lens Options

There are many lenses to choose from for your surgery. It’s important to know what each type of lens can offer, so you can make an informed decision. During your consultation, you and the surgeon will discuss your options and come up with a solution based on your needs.
